Experimental Design Unitary Enterprise

The Experimental Design Unitary Enterprise AXICON of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is founded in 1974. There are two design departments, an experimental mechanical-assembling department, an experimental optical department, a section of radioassembling, winding and impregnation of transformers etc at the enterprise.


In cooperation with the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus AXICON develops and makes to order the following types of devices:
  • Lasers and laser technology equipment:
    Solid-state and tuning dye lasers;
    Laser technological setups for marking, cutting, welding, thermohardening, engraving,
     and weaving of metals and other materials;
    Power supply and cooling systems for lasers;
    Drivers of semiconducting lasers etc.

  • Biomedical devices:
    Laser therapeutic and surgical apparatus;
    Photometers and fluorimeters for laboratory and clinical diagnostic;
    Devices of ultra-violet irradiation of blood with a flow system for expendable usage.

  • Devices for environment research and monitoring:
    Submerged and towed transmissometers and fluorimeters;
    Lidars;
    Spectrometers for remote monitoring of the Earth's surface.

  • Devices and equipment for the analysis of parameters of matters:
    Infrared spectrophotometric analyzer of composition and quantity of different materials "SPECTRAN";
    Laser set for nuclear spectral analysis of steels, alloys and other stuffs;
    Highly sensitive spectroscopic complex for fluorescence analysis "SPECTROSCAN";
    Device for determination of density of phosphate layers on surfaces of metals "INFRATEST".

  • Equipment for the control of parameters of laser radiation:
    Gauging device for measuring of power and temporal characteristics of laser radiation;
    Gauging device for testing of parameters of laser radiation attenuators;
    Installation for check of measurement equipment of power characteristics of laser radiation.

  • Optical parts from glasses and crystals:
    Interference filters;
    Mirrors, lenses, prisms;
    Waveplates;
    Deep optical contact elements;
    Fizeau and Fabry-Perot interferometers;
    Polarizers etc.

  • Unified units and blocks for modeling and construction of laser and optical-electronic systems:
    Optical rails and plates;
    Mounting and adjusting clusters;
    Temperature-controlled holders of crystals;
    Holders of optical pieces;
    Interference polarizers - attenuators;
    Units of positioning etc.
