Our Fabry-Perot Interferometers (Etalons) are produced of high-quality Fused Silica in form of Solid Etalons and Air-Spaced Etalons. Solid Etalons are plane-parallel plates with both sides coated to form a cavity in the range of thickness from 0.5 mm to 15 mm (Type I). Air-Spaced Etalon (Types II, III) is a pair of wedged-plates separated by a special ring being in optical contact with plates. The internal surfaces of plates are partially-reflecting. The type II design is usually used for Etalons with a gap of 0.5 - 30 mm. For a gap of 0.005 - 0.5 mm the design of type III is recommended.
